Position Summary
Under direct supervision, the Cycle Counter will monitor warehouse inventory and perform cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and are reflective of reported inventory. The Cycle Counter will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers.
Essential Functions of the Job
+ Assists with maintaining inventory accuracy and monthly cycle counts by conducting weekly audits of the MRD system
+ Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.
+ Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors
+ Works on projects to continuously improve visual re-order points for MRD materials
+ Responsible for working closely with production staff to ensure non-conforming materials are identified and are accurately processed in a timely manner
Knowledge, Skills and, Abilities (KSA’s)
+ Excellent customer service skills with production operations
+ Proficient with computers demonstrating your ability to work efficiently in the business system; EXCEL skills preferred
+ Working in a collaborative environment while communicating effectively with supervisors and fellow employees
+ Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
+ Able to work overtime and/or including weekends, as production schedules dictate
Education and Experience
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Knowledge of Lean Principles preferred
+ Knowledge of “point of use” inventory, the use of “pull” systems, and NPD processes a plus
Working Conditions
+ Able to perform work in a non-climate-controlled metal manufacturing production environment
+ Must be able to work in an environment with noise (using 25 decibel earplugs) at 75 decibels
+ Must be able to be on your feet, on concrete, for 90% of shift and walk up to 75% of the time
+ Must be able to climb 13ft by way of 12-inch rung ladders
+ Must be able to lift, push and or pull up to 40lbs and carry that weight 5ft
+ Must be able to bend, stoop and crouch
