    DOT/Driver Compliance Business Partner

     

    Serve as a dedicated resource in assigned territory to support all DOT/Driver Compliance and Driver Safety initiatives for 4,000 company drivers! Ensures files and programs are consistent with Federal regulations and Ferguson policies and procedures.

    Essential duties and responsibilities:

    + **Accidents:** Monitor accident reporting process and accident file creation for all DOT reportable accidents in assigned territory. Collect and maintain all relevant accident information, including but not limited to: FNOL, accident documentation, telematics data, reports, pictures, etc. Produce and distribute relevant reporting in assigned territory.

    + **DOT Citations:** Use monthly DOT Citations Report as a basis for DOT Roadside Inspection centralized collection and accountability. Develop corrective action plans and implement accountability measures. Collect and maintain all proof of defect resolution and repair. Call out any non-compliance and/or non-improvement instances. Produce and distribute relevant reporting in assigned territory.

    + **Lytx:** Monitor camera-based driver behavior recognition. Liaise with location management to hold drivers accountable for their driving behavior. Facilitate coaching and counseling of inappropriate driving behaviors with a goal of reducing unsafe driving behaviors and accident potential. Assign training as appropriate. Call out any non-compliance and/or non-improvement instances. Produce and distribute relevant reporting in assigned territory.

    + **Geotab:** Centralized monitoring and reporting of driver compliance within the Getoab system including, but not limited to: Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) compliance & Electronic Hours of service (eHOS) compliance. Review, monitor and develop corrective action plans and accountability for non-compliance. Engage with 2 location management on corrective action plans and accountability with individual drivers based on their driving performance. Drive 100% DVIR completion in assigned territory. Actively engage with location management with Geotab training; teach managers how to effectively use the Geotab system. Review driver profiles in Getoab to ensure completeness and accuracy – perform all necessary driver updates. Call out any non-compliance and/or non-improvement instances. Produce and distribute relevant reporting in assigned territory.

    + **Driver Accountability:** Enforce driver accountability metrics within assigned territory for all DOT programs and processes.

    + **DOT/Fleet Safety Protocol Monitoring**

    + **Safe Driving Behavior Scores monitoring and accountability:** Monitor Driver Challenge scores for drivers in assigned territory. Identify behavior issues and coach to improvement. Engage with location management on driver accountability measures. Call out any non-compliance and/or non-improvement instances. Produce and distribute relevant reporting in assigned territory.

    + **Fleet Field Presence:** Facilitate Fleet policy adherence and standard process sharing within assigned territory.

    + Initial point for DOT/Driver critical issue resolution for branches within assigned territory.

    + Actively engage in monthly calls within assigned territory providing progress updates and ascertaining any needs or issues in the field.

    + Produce and distribute relevant reporting in assigned territory.

    + Interpret data using a variety of systems and develop corrective action plans for non-compliance accordingly.

    + Report trends, efficiencies, and deficiencies across assigned territory – call out as appropriate.

    + Assist in the development and execution of key Fleet/DOT projects.

    + Prepare and present reports to management as needed.

    + Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company.

    + Work overtime as needed.

    + Maintain timely and open communication with direct manager.

    + Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures.

    + Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service.

    + Other duties as assigned by Management

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    + Previous driver management experience is a plus.

    + 1-3 years Telematics experience. Experience with Getoab preferred.

    + Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations with a focus on DVIR and eHOS.

    + Acquire/have knowledge of company operations

    + Ability to research and interpret codes of federal regulations

    + Strong organizational skills

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    + Strong judgment and decision making ability

    + Strong communication skills (oral and written)

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office

    + Able to work in a team and independently

    + Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

    + Highly motivated and customer service oriented

    + Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
