Global Manufacturing Planner

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling all aspects of production. The position requires planning assignment and analysis of data to resolve most cost effective and optimal production schedule for Manufacturing to successfully implement. Individual will lead ongoing process improvements to improve metrics like LOTIF, Backorder, Schedule Attainment, & Utilization. Planners at this level can lead projects and make decisions with minimum supervision. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are a must. The business relies on your examination of situational changes and ability to assess potential risks and recommendations to mitigate the risks.
Key Responsibilities, include but not limited to the following:
Responsible for key performance indicators such as on-time delivery (OTIF), Backorder, maintaining Safety Stock levels of products and internal raw material shortages levels.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting planning reports and projects.
Assists with timely and accurate planning of material requirements to support MPS (Master Production Schedule).
Plans, schedules, and monitors movement of materials through production cycle for on time delivery.
Assists with the coordination of new product introductions as assigned.
Provide input to management to reschedule labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
Proactively works with the Material Planners to identify shortages and schedule accordingly to reduce the number of shortages that impact operations.
Be able to identify goals, review and update Supervisor throughout the year and complete the PMD.
Implement material master changes into production process as the need arises.
Follow up with Order Management Coordinator to expedite open orders and partial shipments as required.
Attend daily management stand -up meetings and provide regular and timely status updates on planning and production issues impacting replenishment to management.
Partner effectively with external departments to resolve issues.
Analyze root causes of stock outs and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.
Key areas also include capacity requirements evaluation, constant monitoring of production readiness and materials availability, and continuous improvement of responsible areas.
Ensure the most efficient resources' utilization.
Responsible for understanding and implementing relevant company /department policies and procedures.
Develop and refine standard work protocols.
Creative problem-solving skills to collect relevant information to solve less well- defined planning problems.
Recalculate orders and requirements as needed by analyzing trends in demand, minimum and maximum order quantities, standard batch sizes and safety stock levels.
Statistically determine replenishment levels for applicable safety stocking programs.
Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously by either facilitate or lead with minimum supervision.
Identify and proactively communicate inventory stock level risks and present during S&OP meeting.
Subject Mater expert for supply chain able to train team and other functions to extract and analyze SAP and Power reports.
Escalates capacity overload to Manufacturing Value Stream Manager and Operations Director with impact to the customer, current recovery glidepath, and scenario plans for most effective recovery.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
+ Knowledge in ERP System (SAP) preferred.
+ Recognize problems, analyze, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvements to completion.
+ Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, & Outlook), PowerPoint.
+ Detail oriented, creative, robust analytical skills, strong organization and time management skills.
+ Ensure compliance with corporate, site, and regulatory policies, practices, and guidelines.
+ Team oriented, interpersonal, and communication skills.
+ Ability to react appropriately to changing priorities and impending deadlines.

+ Bachelor's degree in a business, supply chain, data scientists preferred, or equivalent experience can be considered.
+ Two years of planning experience or related experience preferred for depth knowledge of production planning.
+ High degree of experience and capability in working with all levels of the site to achieve requirements.
+ Proficient with Power BI identifying reports for data collection, export for analysis, and report improvements.
+ High degree of experience summarizing issues and impact to the business at the executive level.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Two years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
+ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, science, or engineering.
+ Two years of planning experience in SAP, or other ERP.
+ APICS certified in Planning & Inventory Management preferable with medical device manufacturer experience a plus.
+ Six Sigma Certification a plus.

+ Position may require frequent communication and walking to other areas in which designated PPE will be required
+ Position will require sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods of time.
+ Employees may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
