    POSITION: Business Office Manager

     

    REPORTS TO: Administrator

     

    SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position provides general labor and assistance to the Maintenance department.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Demonstrates the desire to be a positive proactive TEAM member. Takes pride in providing excellent customer service to all we serve.

    + Demonstrate competence in application of mechanical and technical concepts that allows for facility plant repair, and equipment maintenance understanding and independent function.

    + Knowledge of State Department of Public health facility codes and standards, OSHA and safety codes.

    + Demonstrates ability to perform work in accordance with policy and procedures as well as regulations on a consistent basis.

    + Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to honor the rights, dignity and confidentiality of residents, staff and facility information and or property dealing with them honestly at all times.

    + Demonstrates the ability to stay current on all mandatory in-servicing including Infection Control, Fire and Disaster policies, OSHA and State regulations. Knows where the MSD Sheets are kept and how to use the information found within including the appropriate use of personal protective equipment.

    + Participates in the CQI program as assigned and is able to apply to daily work.

    + Demonstrates the ability to document data in required logs to maintain the department's compliance with policy and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.

    + Demonstrates the ability to perform all tasks assigned in a timely manner with minimal supervision

    + Is able to respond to emergency maintenance needs in prompt manor.

    + Maintains knowledge of equipment and plant functions seeking education that enhances these skills.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    SKILLS:

    Effective verbal and written communication skills

     

    Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

     

    Actively looking for ways to help people.

     

    Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

    ABILITIES:

    Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other facility staff. Possess special interest in working with long-term care residents and the elderly.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

    Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet)

     

    High School Diploma

    WORK SCHEDULE:

    Employee may be required to work beyond normal hours and on weekends, holidays, evenings and nights as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
