About the role

As a Platform Architect, you will make an impact by shaping and optimizing infrastructure solutions through the use of cutting-edge technologies. Leveraging your expertise in Helm, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Docker containers, and Kubernetes, you will drive innovation, scalability, and operational efficiency. Your work will directly contribute to the company’s technological progress and its broader impact on society. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and work collaboratively with the Senior Manager.

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions to support business needs and enhance operational efficiency.

• Oversee the deployment and management of applications using Helm and Kubernetes to ensure seamless integration and performance.

• Provide technical expertise in Google Kubernetes Engine to optimize resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker.

• Ensure high availability and reliability of infrastructure by implementing robust monitoring and alerting systems.

• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using best practices to ensure consistency and repeatability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and maintain service quality.

• Conduct regular performance tuning and capacity planning to ensure infrastructure scalability and resilience.

• Implement security best practices to protect infrastructure and data from potential threats.

• Mentor and guide junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Document infrastructure designs and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity

Work model:

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Cleveland, OH. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

What you need to have to be considered:

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps.

• 7+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Strong proficiency in Helm, GKE, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Proven ability to design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting complex issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Show experience in implementing security best practices in infrastructure management.
