About the role
As a .NET Core Developer, you will make an impact by leading the design and development of scalable, secure applications using modern Microsoft technologies. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet evolving business needs.
In this role, you will:
Lead the development of robust applications using ASP.NET Core Web API and .NET Core.
Oversee the integration of GitHub Copilot to enhance coding efficiency and productivity.
Provide technical mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SQL databases with application frameworks.
Implement software development best practices to ensure code quality and timely delivery.
Analyze and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system reliability and performance.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications through stakeholder collaboration.
Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and optimize performance.
Maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and future enhancements.
Evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection regulations.
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in **Columbus, OH.**

What you need to have to be considered
Strong experience with .NET Core Web API and .NET frameworks 8+ years.
Proficiency in SQL and database integration.
Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot.
Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure (IAM, Lambda, Code Pipeline).
Familiarity with containerized deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
These will help you stand out
Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance standards.
Ability to evaluate and implement emerging technologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or equivalent
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
