About you and this role:
Supervises daily activities of administrative, technical and operational employees. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion. Shares responsibility and accountability for the plant assets, personnel and achievement of the plant related business goals. As a leader, fosters a work environment with a high level of integrity and strong customer and safety focus that embraces inclusion and diversity, innovation and sustainability, continuous improvement and empowerment. Serves as Reliability steward to ensure sustained reliability improvement through utilization of proven reliability practices and techniques. Focuses on those opportunities that over a long-term period or historically have impacted the plant’s measured asset capability and the opportunities identified as "high-risk" in risk assessments, reliability models, and other evaluations.
Responsibilities:
+ Fosters EH&S engagement, particularly in the field and in the areas of personal safety and compliance.
+ A clear focus will exist on creating a Highly Reliable Organizational culture and the elimination of unplanned events by implementing reliability and maintenance services and solutions.
+ Completes the requirements of the Performance Management Process for Maintenance direct reports which is leveraged to support meaningful opportunities for leader/employee engagement. This includes coaching and career development.
+ Implements and provides on-going support of the Maintenance Procedure Use Policy at the facility.
+ Creates Equipment Reliability Strategies based upon Top Opportunity List, Critical Equipment List, and identified plant/business needs.
+ Validates ERS implementation and closes gaps to improve/sustain reliability improvement.
+ Identifies and resolve Top Reliability Opportunities and decrease equipment failure losses and leverages those solutions both into and out of the facility. Ensures consistency in the Reliability Opportunity List process.
+ Develops and implement the Facility Reliability Strategy and provides input into the Business Reliability Strategy.
+ Manages site annual Turnarounds (pit-stops).
+ Facilitates the annual maintenance budget setting process.
Required Qualifications:
+ A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant.
+ 6+ years of maintenance, engineering, manufacturing or related experience.
+ Demonstrated leadership abilities (leading a project or initiative, mentoring, etc).
+ A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
+ SAP & GMISS proficiency.
Physical demands:
Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:
+ Ability to safely work in a plant environment, meet physical demands, work at elevated heights, and comfortably use PPE and safety equipment. Must be familiar with or open to training on proper equipment usage.
+ Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes
+ Perform infrequent bending, reaching, and lifting
+ Climb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground

+ Accountability:Accountability is the acknowledgment and assumption of responsibility for actions, products, decisions, and policies including the administration, governance, and implementation within the scope of the role.
+ Asset Reliability:Asset reliability refers to the ability of physical assets—such as pumps, compressors, reactors, and instrumentation—to consistently perform their intended functions under specified operating conditions without failure or unplanned downtime. In chemical manufacturing, this concept is critical because it directly impacts production continuity, safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.
+ Preventive Maintenance:Preventive maintenance (PM) is maintenance that is proactively performed on an asset with the goal of lessening the likelihood of failure, reducing unexpected downtime, and prolonging its useful life.

This position does not offer relocation assistance.
For positions based in California, Dow is required by law to include the pay scale that is reasonably expected to represent the pay range for the position. This pay range is specific to the State of California and accounts for both new and experienced employees with consideration to factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, and sustained job performance (or similar jobs).
A reasonable pay range for this position is: $98,400– $175,200.
This job is eligible for an additional 18% geographic differential associated with the California location and this position.
