    Dowhas an exciting and rewarding opportunity for aCustomer ManagerinMidland, MI!Will also consider other major Dow hubs in the United States: Houston, Collegeville, and Marietta.

     

    You will be responsible for revenue & volume growth, improved customer experience, and new business development into underutilized markets across the Industrial Silicone additive landscape. Time and territory management, sales tools and analytics utilization, product knowledge and relationship management will all be a vital part of this role. The role will be aligned to the Industrial & Chemical Processing market of DCS and involves a high degree of collaboration, communication and cooperation.

     

    Responsibilities / Duties

     

    + Manages account portfolio and prepares and implements sales plans.

    + Leads and coordinates customer relationships working to understand customer needs, competitive threats, and growth opportunities

    + Identify and develop new demand via new customer acquisition and increased share of wallet at existing accounts

    + Input information in CRM and SmartPrice providing the required documentation aligned to the Dow sales processes.

    + Manages Sales Contracts following Dow guidelines and legal requirements according to each region and country.

    + Develops and executes sales and marketing plans delivering business goals of volume and value.

    + Collects and utilizes market intelligence to shape sales/marketing plan.

    + Leads and conducts negotiations and implements price changes and strategies.

    + Collaborates with other functions and stakeholders to deliver CX results.

    Required Qualifications

    + A minimum of a bachelor’s degreeorrelevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 rankingorCanadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant.

    + 3+ years of relevant experience (Technical/Operations Engineering/Sales/Commercial related positions etc.)

    + Fluent in English

    + A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

    + Prior customer facing experience

    + Proven ability to hunt, prospect, and generate new customer demand

    + Familiarity with Dow’s data analytic systems (Power BI, Diamond systems, SmartPrice, OMP, etc.)

    + Customer Sales:Customer Sales is a method that focuses on the customer's needs and experiences rather than hard-selling a product. The customer's needs get identified and are then matched to the benefits related to the product or service. The goal is to build a long-term relationship rather than a short-term, transactional one.

    + Influencing Skills:Influencing skills refer to the ability to bring people round to a certain way of thinking about a certain topic, without force or coercion whilst acknowledging their opinions.

    + Customer Relationship building:Customer relations refers to the methods a company uses to engage with its customers and improve the customer experience. This includes providing answers to short-term roadblocks as well as proactively creating long-term solutions that are geared towards customer success.

    + Negotiation Skills:Demonstrate the ability to engage clients and stakeholders in productive discussions to reach mutually beneficial agreements
