    Job Description Summary:

    The Administrative Fellowship is a two-year program designed to provide an opportunity for recent graduates to build valuable professional experience and relationships within the OhioHealth System and the larger community. Fellows may be placed at one of our OhioHealth member hospitals, ambulatory care divisions, service lines, or in information technology. Throughout the program, the fellow will be under the guidance and coaching of an executive level preceptor. The preceptor will provide routine feedback on progress and performance. Fellows will be coached on the following: relationship Management, teambuilding and teamwork, vision, strategic planning, decision-making and execution, communication, development, values, executive presence, systemness, quality and safety, financial acumen and human resources management. The fellow will develop Management skills and knowledge of hospital operations, finance, and executive responsibilities. There is an emphasis on active involvement and becoming an independent contributing member of the team.

    Responsibilities And Duties:

    Collects and Analyzes Data as Needed for Project Completion: -Conducts analysis including trends in market share, historical utilization, productivity, and others. -Consolidates information into professional report for presentation

    Submits Projects/Reports with Justified Recommendations: -Analyzes all aspects of the project including the impact on all departments effected by recommendations. -Interviews and uses input from managers and staff in all departments impacted by a particular project.

     

    20%

     

    Attends Hospital Meetings and Activities to Obtain Knowledge of a Hospital and System and How They Function: -Attends at least one Medical Executive, one Senior Management, and one Operations Management meeting. -Participates in other events and meetings that further advance the knowledge of the hospital and system operations, finance, policy governance, community benefit, customer service, and managed care.

    Assists Direct Supervisor or other members of the leadership team in Operations Planning, Special Projects, and/or other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree (Required)

    Additional Job Description:

    Must have completed a health care related master's degree program within 12 months of beginning the fellowship (or completed the didactic portion of a degree program that requires the completion of a fellowship prior to conferment of the degree). Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skill required to work with a variety of health care leaders including executives, physicians, and Associate's at all levels of the organization. Analytical skills necessary to assess facts and develop recommendations. Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
