    Special Education Teacher | $50/hr | Full-Time | Chicago, IL | Middle School | Inclusion Classroom | 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher with an LBS1 endorsement to support middle school students in an inclusive classroom setting in Chicago, Illinois. This in-person position begins October 14, 2025, and runs through the end of the 2025–2026 school year.

    Position Overview:

    + Location: Chicago, IL

    + Start Date: October 14, 2025

    + End Date: End of school year (June 2026)

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

    + Work Hours: 32 hours/week

    + Pay Rate: $50/hr

    + Modality: In-person

    + Grade Levels: 6th–8th (Middle School)

    + Caseload: 10 students

    + Classroom Type: Inclusion with shared paraprofessional support

    + Interview Format: Virtual

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with special needs

    + Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement IEPs

    + Participate in team planning and student program development

    + Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines

    + Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement

    + State certification in elementary, secondary, or special education (preferred)

    + Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
