_This position is with Stratix Labs, a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP). Employment will be through Stratix Labs, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with Stratix benefits and governed by its policies and procedures._

Brief Job Overview
The Senior Finance and Accounting Specialist will be in charge of all finance and accounting responsibilities for USP’s Stratix Labs subsidiary, which is part of USP’s Microbiology Unit. These responsibilities include invoicing and cash collection, processing bills and releasing payments, and month end close accounting tasks. This role will also prepare KPI metrics and reports, as well as generate customer performance reports and certificates.
This is a 1-year fixed term position.

_The Stratix Senior Finance and Accounting Specialist has the following responsibilities:_
•Accounts Payable: Enter bills and release payments, maintain sync from BILL Spend & Expense into QuickBooks after employees code and upload receipts to expenses.
•Accounts Receivable: Prepare and bill order forms/invoices; monitor orders, credit holds, and order releases; manage credit risks and monitor cash collection; perform cash application to customer accounts and collection of outstanding AR/invoices.
•Month End Close: Prepare journal entries (accruals, prepaids, fixed asset capitalization and depreciation, inventory capitalization, misc one-time JEs), review and perform flux analyses on balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.
•Perform account reconciliations and review account agings.
•Perform transaction coding to GL accounts.
•Maintain bank accounts.
•Sales and Use & Property Tax: Monitor and pay state SUT and property taxes, collect exemptioncertificates from exempt customers.
•Work with third party tax accountants to prepare the annual tax return.
•Prepare SOPs for all accounting /finance processes and a month-end close tasks checklist.
•Prepare key reporting metrics/KPIs.
•Process Enverify data submissions and generate Performance Reports and Certificates.
•Other duties as assigned.
Who is USP Looking For?

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field.
•Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the accounting field.
•Experience with accounts payable and receivable and month end close duties, specifically complex inventory capitalization.
•Outstanding problem solving and interpersonal skills.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Attention to detail.
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
•Ability to work in full autonomy in a high-paced growth environment.
Additional Desired Preferences
•Experience with QuickBooks and BILL software.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None, this is an individual contributor role.

Compensation
Base Salary Range: USD $85,200.00 – $108,400.00 annually.
Target Annual Bonus: % Varies based on level of role.
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate’s skill set, experience, qualifications, equity, and other job-related reasons.
