    Requisition Summary

    + Continual improvement of manufacturing process safety, quality, productivity and cost.

    + Preparation, coordination, and implementation of expense and capital budget projects.

    + Reviews new and revised product designs to assess impact on manufacturing processes then readies facility and processes for production volumes.

    + Plant layouts, facility rearrangements, and production equipment design, installation and validation.

    + Monitors maintenance activity to ensure machine capability, reliability and durability is maintained.

    + Continuous process improvement through application of Lean and Six Sigma methodology.

     

    Job Functions / Responsibilities

     

    + Prompt mitigation of identified safety, quality and productivity issues.

    + Research quality problems to identify opportunities for improvement.

    + Define how assembly processes should be performed to assemble parts to specification safely and efficiently with input from production personnel.

    + Determine process variables which require monitoring to determine if the processes are in control and capable.

    + Research capital budget ideas, prepare justification, design/purchase equipment, and coordinate installation.

    + Review major product changes and provide input to Design Engineering on manufacturability and develop manufacturing processes.

    + Rearrange assembly areas and design new production equipment to accommodate product changes and/or improve process flow.

    Qualifications

    + Engineering degree required (Mechanical or Manufacturing/Industrial preferred).

    + In depth product knowledge highly desirable.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

    + Required 2-5 years related experience.

    + Prior background in manufacturing environment.

    + Strong PC and CAD skills.
