Job Description:
**Job Title:** Facilities Coordinator
**Job Type:** Full-Time
**Location:** Dearborn
**Reports To:** SVP
General Summary:
The Facilities Coordinator ensures the office environment is clean, safe, welcoming, and highly functional, while supporting the architectural/engineering staff with administrative and operational tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
+ Serve as point of contact with building management issues. (Contact could be during off-hours and would be a top priority)
+ Communicate and manage building maintenance issues with vendors, including preventative maintenance and break/fix (e.g. heating, cooling, lighting, painting, and janitorial)
+ Respond promptly to employee helpdesk tickets, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs
+ Order and maintain office supplies
+ Work with IT, HR, and hiring managers of new hires to ensure new employees have office space and welcome bags
+ Manage pool vehicle availability, maintenance and cleanliness
+ Conduct regular site safety inspections (e.g. tripping hazards, checking fire extinguishers, and securing the building)
+ Move furniture, equipment, chairs, etc. (when needed)
+ Front desk/phone relief
+ Coordinate copying and printing of project drawings, including seals and stapling of sets
+ Maintain and clean fitness center
+ Receive, date stamp, distribute mail and packages
+ Collect and empty recycle bins
+ Clean up debris outside the main lobby on a daily basis and periodically check the rest of the building for cleanliness. Manage landscaping and snow removal companies.
+ Replace light bulbs, Absopure water, and filters as needed
+ Maintain vending machine coins/cash amounts as required
+ Deliver proposals and project drawings
+ Serve as point of contact for alarm monitoring company. (Contact could be during off-hours and would be a top priority)
+ Perform related duties as assigned
Employment Qualifications:
Education:
+ High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
Experience:
+ Minimum 1 year in office or facilities coordination.
Skills/Competencies:
+ Flexibility to handle shifting priorities
+ Problem-solving and troubleshooting
+ Strong customer service and responsiveness
+ Ability to work independently and manage projects.
+ Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office
+ Positive, patient and proactive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
+ This position requires the ability to perform the essential job functions contained in this job description. These include, but are not limited to, the following requirements:
+ Frequent walking, standing, and moving throughout an 8-hour day.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
+ Comfortable using ladders safely.
