    *General Description:*The Regional Program Supervisor provides leadership and direction for veterans’ mental health programs and staff within an assigned region. The role ensures high-quality service delivery, adherence to TVC policies and procedures, and alignment with departmental objectives to enhance mental health outcomes for veterans and their families. This position carries advanced responsibilities in oversight, coordination, and supervision to support program effectiveness and staff performance.

    *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*

    • Supervise and support regional staff by providing guidance, training, and performance management.

    • Conduct employee performance evaluations and make recommendations for personnel actions.

    • Oversee the implementation of veterans’ mental health programs, initiatives, and outreach efforts across the region.

    • Serve as a liaison between the regional team and department leadership, communicating needs, challenges, and successes.

    • Plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate staff productivity.

    • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.

    • Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders and community partners.

    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    *Minimum Education:*

     

    Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in social work, psychology, or a related field.*College Transcripts are required and must be provided before an interview can be extended, it is preferred they be attached to the application.*

     

    *Minimum Experience:*

    • Five (5) years of experience in program management or administration within a mental health or veteran services setting.

    *Additional Requirements*:

    • Occasional evening or weekend hours.

    • Occasional overnight travel.

    • A valid Texas Driver’s License must be provided within 90 days of hire.

    *Preferred Experience and Qualification:*

    • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, public administration, or a related field.

    • Strong knowledge of behavioral health systems, evidence-based practices, and community resources.

    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships with government agencies, nonprofits, and community organizations.

    • Honorably discharged veteran status preferred.

    *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*

    • Knowledge of programs and services available to veterans and their families at the federal, state, and local levels.

    • Knowledge of mental health concerns and common barriers to accessing care and resources.

    • Ability to provide guidance and technical assistance on veteran mental health issues.

    • Skilled in leading and working within a team environment while facilitating strong working relationships.

    • Ability to interpret and apply guidelines, policies, procedures, and regulations.

    • Ability to supervise staff and oversee operations with minimal oversight.

    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

    • Ability to develop and deliver web-based and in-person presentations to large audiences.

    • Ability to manage workload effectively, meet deadlines, and perform within required timeframes.

    *Environmental & Physical Conditions: *

    Normal office work environment, mostly sedentary in nature. May involve walking; standing; remaining stationary for long periods of time; pulling and pushing; kneeling, stooping, and bending; and safely lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds. Work involves extensive telephone usage and repetitive hand/wrist/finger motions while using the computer.
