Responsibilities
The Field Service Technician III is responsible for maintaining and servicing Brightstar equipment at retailer (customer) locations. This includes responding to dispatches, driving to customer sites within a designated zone, delivering supplies, and installing, removing, or repairing lottery equipment and communication devices. The role requires strong technical repair skills, customer service experience, and the ability to work independently in the field.
+ Transport, install (if applicable), and maintain Brightstar equipment, replacement parts, tools, and other materials in an organized manner.
+ Attend driver training and adhere to Brightstar vehicle policies regarding use and maintenance of company vehicles.
+ Maintain equipment to ensure continuous operation of Brightstar systems.
+ Troubleshoot and restore malfunctioning equipment in the field, including swapping failed units, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
+ Communicate effectively with Dispatchers, accurately reporting activity, arrival/departure times, and resolution details.
+ Deliver marketing supplies and consumables (e.g., paper, ribbons, betslips) and track inventory.
+ Provide basic training to new retailers and refresher training to existing retailers on procedures such as changing paper and ribbon.
+ Complete required forms for reporting activities, equipment issues, and procedural improvement recommendations.
+ Provide training and mentorship to technical staff as required to support team development and operational excellence.
+ Perform other related duties and responsibilities as needed to support evolving business priorities and ensure operational success.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience
+ Minimum of 5 years in a customer service-related role.
+ Minimum of 5 years in technical repair or field service.
Skills & Competencies
+ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
+ Ability to correctly perceive colors.
+ Physical ability to climb ladders, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work in various environments including rooftops and inclement weather.
+ Dexterity with tools and comfort working with moving parts and electrical current.
+ Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
Additional Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of security clearance, background checks, pre-placement physical, and drug testing.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting salary range is _$47,133 - $58,989_ . The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles may be eligible for short-term incentive or other discretionary bonuses. More senior roles maybe eligible for long-term incentive bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
