BAE Systems is offering a great opportunity to be part of a training team responsible for developing our microwave assembly talent into the world class manufacturing technicians our industry demands. As a Microwave manufacturing trainer, you will be one of the first employees to welcome our new hires to the team. Your knowledge and skill in chip and wire manufacturing techniques will be passed onto students setting them up for success in a rewarding and challenging field. A focus on mentorship, attention to detail, and quality first mindset will be instilled in the new employees through the lesson plans. Developing these fundamentals into our growing workforce is a critical part of our mission to protect those who protect us.

Responsibilities: Performs on-the-job training, skills training, and classroom training in assembly and production areas. Participates in the development and implementation of new training programs and may introduce new processes and sequences for manufacturing areas. Maintains rosters of training progress, examination records, and certification records and may monitor trainees. Collaborate with internal teams and local education partners to cultivate a pipeline of skilled labor for our factory needs.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Typically a High School Diploma and 1 year work experience or equivalent experience

+ Computer competency and English literacy is required

+ Ability to work with a microscope

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

2 years experience in Microwave manufacturing and training or equivalent experience

+ Time management and multitasking

+ Highly effective communication through written and verbal skills

+ Computer literacy in MS Office and industry-related software

+ Microwave assembly skills

+ Wire and ribbon bonding West Bond and Palomar equipment

+ Bond pull Dage equipment

+ Epoxy dispense

+ Die attach

+ Microscope work

+ Classroom management and facilitation

+ Familiarity with MIL STD 883

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $56195 - $89912

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
