    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Systems Solutions Engineer to sit on site in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will provide systems management services, support, and product expertise for various customer implementations. You will have a strong background implementing, installing, maintaining, and configuring information systems for different clients. You handle the configuration and installation of hardware and software solutions and engage in research and development to continuously enhance and meet the IT needs different clients.

     

    • Offer tier 2/3 technical support to clients during ongoing integrations.

    • Serve as a technical resource within their own projects.

    • Analyze and document system and application integration issues and implement solutions.

    • Ensure long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.

    • Track time and work completed in a ticketing and project system.

    • Interact with customers and vendors to gather information and troubleshoot problems.

    • Collaborate with internal and external teams to address a wide range of technical issues and processes.

    • Understand and implement virtual infrastructure, including storage, switches, servers, power requirements, and related hypervisor installations.

    • Design and implement cloud-based virtual infrastructure, including app services, virtual machines, and establish VPN connections to on-premises infrastructure.

    • Develop and implement disaster recovery and advanced backup solutions.

    • Evaluate systems for better solutions and more efficient designs.

    Skills and Requirements

    • 5+ years’ experience working for a VAR, MSP, or IT consulting/solutions company

    • 5+ years of systems engineering/architecture experience developing and implementing systems solutions

    • Experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure
