    Job Description

    An employer based out of Colorado is is seeking a Telecom Field Technician to join its team in the Kalispell, Montana market. This role involves providing on-site client installations, repairs, and maintenance of telecom equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, and possesses strong technical support and communication skills, with a proven track record of delivering high levels of client satisfaction and a commitment to exceptional service. Responsibilities include managing all network field activities on the clients network, installing and testing new services in residential and business locations, performing fiber splicing, and troubleshooting network outages. The technician must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and at elevations exceeding 18 feet, such as on ladders or lift trucks. Additional duties include interpreting network diagrams or detailed instructions, operating a company vehicle safely, and collaborating with Engineering, Technical Support, and Service Delivery teams to complete installations and service calls. Target pay is $25-$28 an hour for a Direct Hire role.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Minimum of two (2) years experience in Fiber Optic and Cat6 cable installation (preferred)

     

    Experience configuring wireless equipment such as Ubiquiti, Cambium, and Nokia (preferred but not required)

     

    Skilled in installing and handling various fiber optic cable types, including single mode and multimode

     

    Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and carrying a ladder

     

    Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
