    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Transducer Technician to join a specialized team building precision sensors that power advanced testing and simulation systems and technologies. This hands-on role involves assembling and functionally testing custom and standard strain-gage-based transducers using engineering prints and work instructions. Tasks include soldering, wiring, and small-component assembly under microscopes to ensure accuracy and quality.

     

    This individual will troubleshoot issues, support engineering on prototypes and calibration projects, and contribute to process improvements. This is an on-site position in a clean, lab-based environment with flexible work schedule for 4 ten hour shifts. The role offers long-term growth and the opportunity to work on technology used globally in aerospace, automotive, biomedical, and other industries.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Assemble and test strain-gage-based transducers per engineering specifications

     

    - Perform soldering, wiring, and small-component assembly under microscopes

     

    - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to design, materials, or processes

     

    - Maintain accurate records and update documentation as needed

     

    - Support engineering with prototypes and special calibration projects

     

    - Suggest and implement process improvements for efficiency and quality

     

    - Follow 5S principles to maintain a clean and safe work environment

     

    - Collaborate with team members and cross-train in multiple areas

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 2+ year of experience as an assembler in electronics, manufacturing, or related field

     

    - Strong proficiency in soldering, wiring, and working with small-to-medium mechanical components

     

    - Ability to read and interpret electronic blueprints and schematics

     

    - Ability to work under a microscope for precision tasks and strong attention to detail

     

    - Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting design, material, or process issues - Experience in clean-room or lab environments

     

    - Familiarity with strain-gage-based transducers or similar technologies

     

    - Background in process improvement or quality initiatives
