Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused IT Sales Engineer to support our client’s sales team in identifying client needs, proposing tailored IT solutions, and closing managed services and project-based sales. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between the technical and sales teams, ensuring client needs are fully understood and met with the right solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with account executives to understand client requirements and deliver tailored solutions in pre-sales engagements.
• Conduct technical discovery calls and onsite/virtual assessments of prospective clients’ IT environments.
• Design and present comprehensive IT solutions, including managed services, cybersecurity offerings, cloud platforms, BDR strategies and infrastructure upgrades.
• Prepare and deliver technical proposals, diagrams and presentations to explain our company's products or services to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work with engineering teams to scope and price service offerings.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and vendor offerings relevant to our MSP services.
• Support RFP/RFI responses with detailed technical input.
• Assist in transitioning clients from pre-sales to onboarding, ensuring a smooth handoff to the service delivery team.
• Provide technical support during the sales cycle to remove obstacles to deal closure.
• Researching, developing, and modifying products to meet customers' technical requirements and needs.
• Soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers.
• Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible solutions to upper management.
• Setting and achieving sales goals and quotas.
• Training other members of the sales team on the technical aspects of the company's products and services.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, anything technology related
o May be ok with Sales degree if candidate has been heavy IT focused)
- 1-3 years of total B2B Sales experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect or Technical Pre-Sales role preferably within and MSP or IT Services firm
o Ok with more Sr. if it makes sense
- Experience working with B2B IT Managed Services
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 - System Administration Experience
- Network Firewall or Network Security experience
o These will be the bulk of what they are selling
- Azure experience
- Experience with SAN (network for lock level storage)
- Experience with NAS (file level storage device accessible over a standard network
- ISCSI (protocol that uses Internet Small Computer System Interface to transmit block level storage commands over an Ethernet network)
