Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization’s data, systems, and networks. You’ll design, implement, and continuously enhance security measures, working closely with vendor technical support to resolve complex issues and strategize system upgrades. Your expertise will be essential in assessing security advisories, developing mitigation plans, and consulting with business teams on best practices across areas like Perimeter Security, CASB, Application Security, EDR, Cloud, and SIEM. You’ll manage and optimize network security tools—including firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS, and web proxies—while monitoring network traffic to identify and analyze potential threats. Additionally, you’ll develop user documentation, streamline processes through automation, collaborate across departments to integrate security measures, prepare detailed reports and presentations on security assessments, and provide guidance and training to staff on security best practices.

This is a HYBRID role with 2-3 days onsite in Bridgewater, NJ

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field

• 4-8 years of experience in cybersecurity with hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, and security tools

• Strong understanding of network protocols, security frameworks, identity and access management (IAM), and system administration

• Expert level understanding of perimeter security controls, endpoint controls, and cloud environment controls

• Experience with network infrastructure including switching, routing, VPN technologies, and wireless networks

• Proficiency in using security tools like SIEM systems, vulnerability scanning tools, EDR, firewalls, antivirus solutions, and DLP

• Knowledge of operating systems like Windows and UNIX

• Basic scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor to both technical and non-technical audiences
