Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project/Assignment:

The main function of a lab technologist trainee is to perform complex medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. A typical lab technologist trainee usually reports to a biochemist or microbiologist.

Education requirements:

BS/BA Degree in Biology/Chemistry/Physical Science or completion of a minimum of 90 semester hours to include the completion of 16 semester hours in Chemistry, 16 semester hours in Biology and 3 semester hours in mathematics and must meet CLIA requirements.
