    Job Description

    Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to support and enhance our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System across multiple locations. This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement, maintaining compliance in highly regulated environments, and supporting customer satisfaction through quality assurance initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead internal audits across all locations: planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up using the PIN (Process Improvement Notes) system.

    • Support quality control activities including inspection, testing, and documentation.

    • Analyze data using Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to identify risks and improve processes.

    • Maintain and audit non-conformance records (NCRs, RMAs, credits) within INVEX and Laserfiche systems.

    • Write and revise procedures and forms to ensure compliance and drive improvements.

    • Conduct external vendor/supplier audits as directed by the QA Manager.

    • Collaborate with Sales to respond to customer surveys and quality-related inquiries.

    • Support PPAPs, First Article Inspections (FAI), Certificates of Conformance (CoC), and export compliance documentation.

    • Train new employees and conduct annual quality training across locations.

    • Participate in monthly Operational Excellence, Safety, and Plant Manager meetings.

    • Contribute to structured problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Maintain the Risk/Opportunity Matrix for each branch.

    • Support SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) activities.

    Skills and Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance within industrial manufacturing.

    • Familiar with ISO 9001 procedures

    • hands-on experience in companies that follow ISO 9001 standards.

    • understanding documentation, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement processes.

    • Strong proficiency in Excel (including statistics), PowerPoint, and data analysis.

    • Proven ability to resolve customer issues and manage conflict professionally.

    • Experience working in highly regulated environments with strong attention to detail.

    • Comfortable with international travel and flexible scheduling. (USA, Canada, and Mexico)

    • Stable work history demonstrating reliability and growth. • Safety program experience.

    • Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001.

    • Familiarity with steel service centers, pressure vessel quality standards, and government contracts (e.g., CAGE codes).

    • Experience with plasma/oxy cutting, drilling, counterboring, and etching processes.

    • Ability to revise procedures based on shop floor realities and train others effectively.
