    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for an IT Scrum Master to join the team of one of its clients in the Life Insurance industry located in Livonia, MI. This individual must be a go getter, should have great communication skills, and should be able to work a hybrid role in Livonia, MI.

     

    • Specific Responsibilities:

    • Manage diverse project teams which may include a variety of cross-functional resources such as developers, quality analysts, business analysts and project sponsors

    • Define the project schedule

    • Manage project budget, scope and risk

    • Remove impediments for the project team with a focus on delivery

    • Manage deployment planning and execution

    • Provide status to all levels of Project and Executive team members

    • As Scrum Master, coach the project team in Agile approaches to project execution

    • Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives

    • Facilitate team empowerment and engagement

     

    Facilitate project ceremonies

     

    Compensation: $50/hr to $60/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Bachelor’s degree

    - 7 years’ of experience working in a IT Scrum Master/PM role

    • Extensive experience working/managing vendor relationships

    • Experience managing project security & risk

    • Experience managing application development & IT infrastructure projects impacting multiple teams

    • Excellent communication, problem solving, mentorship skills

    • Excellent background cross functional relationships w/different level team members

    • Great reporting experience

    • Experience leading newly established teams

    - 3 years’ of experience managing projects in an Agile environment

    • Agile project management tools such as Jira or Rally is highly preferred

     

    - CSM certification is highly preferred

     

    - Expertise in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

     

    Excellent communication, team building & activation skills Insurance industry experience a bonus
