Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Automotive Manager for a large logistics company local to Charlotte, NC. This is a position on the Fleet Distribution team with the primary responsibility of working with automotive manufacturers/OEMs and coordinate the distribution of the company railcars to automotive shippers. This individual is responsible for managing approximately 70,000 railcars, assessing the adequacy of supply, communication (via phone call) with corporate and plant level external stakeholders/automotive shippers, and running/communicating findings of data reporting. The Automotive Manager will oversee 2-3 Automotive Analysts and ensure that they are delivering various data reports accurately and timely. This is a hybrid position, reporting onsite in Charlotte, NC 3x/week. This role does require occasional weekend shifts – must dedicate 3-4 hours/day at least once a month.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop team of direct reports (data analysts)
• Ensure that data projects are delivered on time with quality
• Draft analysis reports, prepare shipper queue, and pipeline supply needs for each shipper/plant
• Assist Fleet Management with the direction of empty distribution efforts
• Improve end client satisfaction through customer calls
• Prepare performance reports through Microsoft Excel and other BI tools

Skills and Requirements
• 5+ years working in the rail/logistics/automotive manufacturing industry (corporate/office setting)
• Strong data management skills, proficient in BI tools and Tableau
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships with internal and external customers
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university, MBA or Graduate Degree (B.S. Supply Chain, Operations/Operation Management, Industrial Engineering, Economics) • Ability to speak Spanish
• Work experience at a Class 1 Railroad: Union Pacific Railroad (UP), BNSF Railway, CSX Transportation, Norfolk Southern Railway, Canadian National Railway, Canadian Pacific Kansas City, Amtrak
