    $10,000 Recruitment Incentive to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine

    **UW Medical Center-Montlake, Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is looking for a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE)** to join their leadership team. The CNE position supports the clinical practice of nurses through expert education and evidence-based practice support. In collaboration with key stakeholders and nursing leadership, this position ensures the integration of best practices, regulatory standards, and continuous quality improvement into clinical practice.

    UNIT DESCRIPTION

    + Bring your experience and great compassion in caring for multiple births and micro preemies—babies born before 26 weeks gestation or weighing less than 2.2 pounds.

    + As part of UW Medicine, the NICU has access to the most advanced neonatal research.

    + Our team has been instrumental in setting the standard for reducing risk of brain damage and lung problems in premature babies across the nation.

    + Come work with an interdisciplinary team of neonatologists, nurses, neonatal physical therapists, respiratory care practitioners, pharmacists, nutritionists, other health professionals and parents as members of a baby's health-care team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Serves as a clinical expert in neonatal nursing practice.

    + Provides clinical education, guidance, and practice support within the NICU. Identifies gaps in nursing practice and knowledge through analysis and evaluation. Partners with nursing staff and leadership to develop and implement action plans.

    + Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates education offerings designed to enhance the delivery of care. This includes the design and facilitation of staff education days, in-services, and initial and annual competencies.

    + Create and support an orientation program for new graduate nurses and new to specialty nurses hired into NICU. This includes classroom-based learning, thoughtful preceptor pairing and schedule creation, and frequent check-ins with new hires and their preceptors.

    + Ensures compliance and maintains records of regulatory requirements related to education, staff competencies, and equipment safety.

    REQUIREMENTS

    + Have or obtain a WA state RN license or MSL

    + Bachelors of Science in Nursing

    + Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

    + Five or more years NICU experience

    + Two of more years of clinical leadership experience

    + NICU related specialty certification or obtain within one year of hire

    + NRP instructor or obtain certification within one year of hire

    + Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

    Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

    Pay Range Minimum:

    $98,448.00 annual

    Pay Range Maximum:

    $178,824.00 annual

    Other Compensation:

    $10,000 Sign on bonus/Relocation available

    BSN or higher premium $1.00/hour

    Certification premium $1.25/hour

    Weekend Shift differential $4.00/hour

    Over time pay
