Surgical Assist Full time opportunity

General Summary:

The PA under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:

+ Surgical Assist

+ Assist in surgical cases with the provider within the hospital setting

+ Assist in Hysterectomies, Hysteroscopies, Bladder and Organ prolapse, Myomectomies, and more

+ Orders preoperative and post operative medications as needed

+ Collaborates with physician as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support

+ Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth

+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public

+ Strong communication skills

Schedule Details:

+ Monday-Friday

+ Campuses Covered: AH Kissimmee

+ Call not required

Knowledge and Skills Required:

+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.

+ Strong communication skills

+ Strong medical decision-making skills

Required Education/Experience:

+ Master's degree in Physician Assistant (PA-C) Studies Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

+ Current, valid Florida PA

+ Certification by NCCPA, ANCC or other nationally recognized certification organization

+ BLS & ACLS
