Job Description Summary
The On Wing Support Planner Coordinator & Engagement Representative serves as the administrative and coordination partner to the Planning team, supporting all aspects of engine maintenance from initial job request through final billing. This position ensures smooth planning, communication, and execution between customers, technicians, and internal teams. The role is essential for maintaining operational flow and customer satisfaction within GE On Wing Support’s fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
This site performs maintenance on GE/CFM commercial aircraft engines in both the field and shop settings. The Planner Coordinator will collaborate with a wide variety of customers, GE Aviation facilities, and partners globally. Applicants should be familiar with quick-turn aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and field services operations of a FAR-145 Repair Station. Familiarity with GE Flight Deck Lean methodology is highly valued, particularly the ability to apply lean principles to improve turnaround times, reduce waste, and enhance customer responsiveness.
Located in Fort Worth, Texas, our On Wing Support (OWS) site specializes in quick-turn aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and field services for GE/CFM commercial aircraft engines. As part of a FAR-145 Repair Station, the team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to customers worldwide. Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Serve as the administrative and coordination support to the Planning function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of job setup, tracking, and documentation.
+ Enter and manage job data in SAP to initiate shop or field jobs.
+ Support compliance requirements for new customer setups, including Know Your Customer (KYC) processes in SAP.
+ Support the commercial team with quoting, work scopes, parts, and logistics.
+ Assist billing and finance with cost accumulation, invoicing, and accounts receivable reconciliations.
Basic Qualifications
+ Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance or Aerospace Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in an aerospace planning or supply chain role.
+ Willingness to support calls during off-hours when emergency situations arise.
Desired Characteristics
+ Federal Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) license is a plus.
+ Approach work with a “can-do” attitude and a sense of commitment to both the team and customer objectives.
+ Desire to learn and grow with technology advancements and new engine models.
+ Experience with SAP or comparable enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred.
+ Previous experience with LEAP, GE90, CFM, CF6, CF34, or GENX programs is a plus.
+ Knowledge of Line maintenance, engine changes, module removal & installation, and/or LRU removals and installations.
+ Familiarity with Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Engine Shop Manual procedures.
+ Demonstrated quality, compliance, EHS, and customer satisfaction skills.
+ Coordinate with engineering for timely work scoping of shop and field jobs.
+ Provide “all-hands” support for AOG (Aircraft On Ground) events as needed.
+ Coordinate customer site access, badging, and airport property requirements.
+ Comply with all safety requirements and participate in investigations, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Participate in and help lead LEAN events using GE Flight Deck Lean methodology.
+ Continuously identify and eliminate waste while improving standard work processes.
+ Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
