Job Description Summary
This role is responsible for all facets of basic to intermediate electrical installations and maintenance associated with providing and sustaining power to complex data center infrastructure equipment. The successful candidate will work in a state-of-the-art facility, supporting mission-critical electrical systems and contributing to the development of procedures and standards. This position requires working safely around hazardous voltages and escalating operational risks to leadership when necessary. This position will start on 1st shift and will eventually move to 3rd shift to support the facility needs.
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Build, route, install, and terminate raised floor power cables per equipment specifications.
+ Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility electrical infrastructure.
+ Conduct routine thermal scanning and metering of electrical equipment.
+ Apply electrical knowledge to solve complex problems using technical resources and facility standards.
+ Complete all required C&W and client mandatory training as scheduled annually
+ Maintain and enhance installation and maintenance procedures, training programs, and evaluation criteria.
+ Analyze system configurations and performance data to optimize operations and provide recommendations.
+ Lead internal and vendor teams in executing workflow queues and supervising installations.
+ Provide 24/7 rotational on-call support during emergency events.
+ Communicate proactively with leadership regarding data center availability risks.
+ Support compliance with established policies, standards, and procedures.
+ Mentor and cross-train peers to support succession planning and skills development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Minimum 3 years of data center experience or equivalent electrical on-the-job training.
+ AAS degree, vocational certification, or trade school education in electrical or related field.
+ Minimum 3+ years of journeyman-level electrician experience with systems such as branch circuits, low voltage distribution, switchgear (12.47kV, 5kV, 575V, 480V), DC systems, and transfer switches.
+ Strong understanding of electrical power equipment, National Electrical Code, and NFPA 70E.
+ Ability to write and perform preventative maintenance tasks and update field reports.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electrical metering equipment.
+ Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50–75 pounds), stand and walk for extended periods, and safely work around hazardous voltages.
+ Must pass an in-depth security background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
+ Manual dexterity for assembling and manipulating electrical components.
+ Frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, stretching, and climbing.
+ Clear verbal and written communication skills.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $32.69 - $38.46154
