GENERAL SUMMARY:
• The RN Manager of Quality and Regulatory Compliance will provide oversight for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the Transplant Institute.
• The RN Manager of Quality and Regulatory Compliance is a leadership role in monitoring and maintaining compliance with requirements of external agencies specifically related to Transplant including The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), Intermacs, Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), and the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Network.
• This employee will collaborate with the Administrative Director of Transplant Institute and the Program Director(s) as well as other system leaders to achieve these objectives.
• This position reports to the Administrative Director, Transplant Institute.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Previous experience in regulatory compliance and monitoring of a healthcare operation.
• Previous experience in developing and coordinating a quality monitoring aspect of an ongoing operation.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as strong project management skills.
• Excellent personal and professional written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding teambuilding skills working with Transplant Institute team members as well as with multidisciplinary staff across clinical areas.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet applications.
• Exceptional customer service values.
• Managerial skills.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare trends in transplantation and quality improvement concepts.
• Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
• Current RN license in the State of Michigan .
