Senior Planner Analyst (Electric Construction)
Colorado Springs Utilities is hiring a **Senior Planner Analyst** to perform planning, scheduling, and analytical activities to support the success of new electric construction projects, distribution and transmission system upgrades, system reliability improvements, operational functions, and general maintenance for our electric line crews. The work that you will do impacts the performance, reliability, and safety of electric transmission and distribution infrastructure that our line crews maintain, ensuring our 500,000+ customers receive reliable and safe electric service to their homes and businesses.
What Else Will You be Doing?
+ Facilitating and conducting complex electric construction planning and scheduling activities for project/job execution
+ Scheduling and obtaining a variety of essential construction dependencies and support
+ Supporting internal and, at times, external electric construction and maintenance line crews
+ Scheduling, preparing, planning, reviewing, and analyzing work order requests and projects
+ Creating, maintaining, and presenting an effective and efficient rolling three-week schedule
+ Interpreting engineered prints and drawings
+ Developing and improving asset and Work Management tracking tools for monitoring labor resources, equipment performance, programs of work, and life cycle analysis
+ Assisting with quality control and Work Management activities including the auditing of maintenance programs
+ Mentoring, training, coordinating, and reviewing the work of Planner Analysts
+ Analyzing asset cost, performance, and utilization data to aid customers in the decision-making process as it relates to operation, maintenance, or replacement of equipment and assets
+ Analyzing, reviewing, and monitoring project performance levels and recommending areas of improvement
+ Conducting trend analysis on corrective, emergency, predictive, and preventative maintenance activities
+ Developing, tracking, and reporting on key performance indicators while analyzing drivers, trends, and root causes
+ Monitoring long-term projects in accordance with set schedules using analytical reports, resource leveling, forecasting, master scheduling, and infrastructure outage scheduling
Who You Are
+ Demonstrated experience working within a work management system in a Planner Analyst or Senior Planner Analyst capacity
+ Demonstrated expertise in planning and scheduling electric construction, linear construction, or complex utility maintenance work is **_valued_**
+ Experience using Maximo or a related tool in a work management capacity is **_valued_**
+ Ability to manage dynamic and comprehensive construction and/or maintenance programs with a focus on planning and scheduling
+ Ability to efficiently manage multiple crew resources and competing priorities
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
+ Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or small amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
