Overview
As a talent acquisition organization, we guarantee a dynamic, collaborative environment, focused on providing tailored end-to-end recruiting strategies for Caterpillar’s Construction Industries (CI) segment and associated business units. As Caterpillar continues to evolve to meet the challenge of right candidate, right place, right time, a consultative and agile team is a critical component of our success. Recruiters for CI act as talent partners and contribute to this mission by leveraging their interpersonal skills, strategic mindsets, and in-depth knowledge of talent acquisition to solve problems and target opportunities. This role helps influence our talent acquisition strategy, builds strong relationships with our internal customers, and acts as a mentor and subject matter expert for our recruiters in increasing the concentration of underrepresented groups at the top of the funnel to expand access and opportunity to all.
This **Engineering Talent Acquisition Partner** position requires experience-based knowledge of world-class recruitment methods, a commitment to continuous improvement, and demonstrated success in delivering a high-quality candidate and client experience. Challenges include meeting expectations in delivering results, learning to refine solutions to better fit complex situations, making timely decisions, and communicating effectively. Strong initiative and leadership skills are also a must, along with having the demonstrated ability to have courageous conversations and be an advocate for all job seekers.
What you will do:
+ Will focus on Engineering (design, control systems, hydraulics, etc.) function for the US based Construction Industries team, with ability to also support procurement, manufacturing, sales and marketing functional roles.
+ Engage with leaders and HR to understand the business talent needs, challenges and priorities in order to build proactive sourcing and go-to-market strategies for identifying and attracting top talent. Have an in-depth understanding of the business areas and the skills which are in demand.
+ Demonstrate proven success in technical recruiting.
+ Utilize Workday ATS from both a sourcing and record keeping/maintenance perspective.
+ Use creative sourcing strategies using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday, Beamery and other channels to generate candidate pipelines, new leads, and nurture existing leads. Demonstrated advanced technical sourcing methodologies.
+ Ensure the positive candidate experience is at the forefront of all recruitment activity and build brand advocacy for the Caterpillar brand.
+ Provide continuous feedback to Hiring Managers and Leaders on sourcing and recruiting activity, outreach, challenges and overall insights on the external market conditions. Ability to translate challenges into creative solutions to overcome roadblocks.
+ Curious about learning new sourcing methodologies and collaborating with other TA professionals on best practices. Top candidates will be comfortable using trial and error to discover new approaches.
What you will have:
+ Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
+ Candidate Screening: Knowledge of techniques, methods and processes of candidate screening; ability to preselect suitable candidates for first and further interviews within the organization.
+ Candidate Sourcing: Knowledge of techniques, methods and channels of candidate sourcing; ability to attract and qualify candidates for immediate job vacancies or as potential long-term job candidates.
+ Staffing and Recruiting: Knowledge of standards, processes, techniques and methods used in staffing and recruiting; ability to identify, select, retain and relocate qualified personnel, both internally and externally, for a wide range of positions.
+ Customer/Market Focus: Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.
Top candidates will also have:
+ Prior experience in Engineering recruiting; preferably design, control systems, and hydraulics focused
+ Demonstrated capability to source external candidates to build talent pipelines
Additional Information:
+ The primary location for this position is Dallas, TX / Cary, NC / Peoria, IL.
+ This role is office based and requires the employee to be onsite Monday to Friday.
+ Travel up to 5%-10%.
+ Domestic relocation is available for this role.

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
