    Role Summary:

    Caterpillar is embarking on a bold digital transformation journey to revolutionize our dealers’ systems to bring them into the digital world. We are seeking a visionary **Senior Digital Architecture Manager** to lead a focused team of architects in designing and delivering the future of system integration between Caterpillar’s enterprise platforms and our next-generation Dealer ERP template built on **Microsoft Dynamics 365** and **Azure Integration Services** .

     

    This is a high-impact leadership role within a newly launched strategic program aimed at simplifying integration, accelerating digital capability deployment, and enabling a **unified customer experience** across our global dealer network.

    What you will do:

    + Lead and mentor a team of system architects focused on end-to-end integration between dealer ERP system and enterprise systems.

    + Define and drive the architectural vision for seamless, scalable, and secure integration using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure technologies.

    + Cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, enterprise IT teams, and business stakeholders to align architecture with strategic goals.

    + Establish and enforce integration standards, patterns, and best practices to ensure consistency and reusability across implementations.

    + Champion innovation and continuous improvement in digital architecture to reduce complexity and enhance dealer and customer experience.

    + Ensure solutions are resilient, performant, and compliant with enterprise security and governance standards.

    + Stay up to date with the latest developments in integration technology as it relates to Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365 and other related fields, evaluate new developments and technologies for potential integration into existing and future architecture. Initiate and deliver technology evaluation and recommendations.

    What you will have:

    + **Organizational Leadership:** Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.

    + **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

    + **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

    + **Target Architecture:** Knowledge of target architecture; ability to develop the IT blueprint and roadmap while aligning the architecture and processes with business strategies and objectives.

    + **Requirements Analysis:** Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

    Top Candidates will have:

    + Four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a Computer Science or Information Technology, or related field typically with 15+ years of experience

    + Proven experience leading architecture teams in large-scale digital transformation initiatives.

    + Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

    + Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations, Customer Engagement) and Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Event Grid, etc).

    + Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, API-first design, and event-driven systems.

    + Familiarity with deployment or integration with ERP systems, especially in dealer or distribution networks, and how they integrate with corporate platforms (e.g., CRM, PLM, supply chain, finance).

    Posting Details:

    + This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, Irving, TX (Dallas), or Phoenix, AZ offices.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $169,320.00 - $253,920.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
