Chevron New Energies (CNE) is a division within Chevron Corporation focused on accelerating efforts in low-carbon energy solutions.
The CNE Business Performance & Finance Planning Lead is responsible for the development of CNE’s annual business plan and prepares monthly financial forecasts with strategic insight. CNE’s business planning process integrates into a wider portfolio process, managing opportunities through full life cycle from project origination to execution.
This position leads the coordination and facilitation of the planning and forecasting processes across multiple teams and stakeholders and is an integral part of CNE’s Business Performance & Finance team. In support of the planning and forecasting process, the role is responsible for management of the portfolio and planning systems (Azure Dev Ops, Microsoft SharePoint and Power BI). The successful candidate will be expected to display a high level of ownership with the ability to structure, prioritize and execute work.
Responsibilities for this position** **will** **include but are not limited to:
+ Leads development of CNE’s business planning and financial forecasting processes, while coordinating across multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
+ Prepares communications for the Chevron Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors on the business plan, directly supporting the CNE President and Leadership Team in these engagements.
+ Coordinates with Chevron’s Investor Relations Teamon CNE updates for quarterly earnings calls.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
+ 5+ years of finance, planning, or business analysis experience within the oil and gas industry and/or low carbon new energies experience
+ Strong communication(both written and verbal), presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
+ Ability to build collaborative working relationships with diverse teams across global businesses and stakeholders to influence outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
+ MBA or equivalent
+ Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, and Power BI.
+ Experience working in or with multinational businesses
+ Proficient in handling diverse responsibilities across several projects, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and exceeding expectations
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working with senior management to influence decision-making
+ Self-starter with a growth mindset to learn and improve, and challenge the status quo
Relocation Options:
Relocation is not offered for this role. Only local candidates will be considered.
