Responsibilities

The Hopaco Retail Sales Representative is responsible for assisting customers in all aspects of retail operations to ensure total quality, including stocking, pricing, and resolving customer inquiries.

+ **Proactively acknowledges and engages every customer** to create a positive experience. Maintains awareness of current advertisements and promotions.

+ **Delivers outstanding customer service** by informing customers about Company products and services. Effectively uses communication tools to request assistance on the sales floor and to coordinate service and customer engagement throughout the store.

+ **Demonstrates knowledge of company policies and product information** to confidently answer associate questions and customer inquiries.

+ **Executes merchandise-related activities** to ensure merchandise presentation standards are met, including implementing plan-o-gram changes, merchandise sets, and price updates. Updates store signage or POP materials as needed.

+ **Utilizes the Point of Sale system** to accurately scan or enter customer items for purchase or refund. Verifies payment method and processes customer payments correctly.

+ **Follows cash handling procedures** to ensure funds are secured in the locked cashier drawer or retail safe.

+ **Uses approved processes** to take customer special orders, prepare orders for will call or delivery, and coordinate store transfers.

+ **Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.** Supports company loss prevention initiatives.

+ **Performs daily cleaning and maintenance tasks,** such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting as needed.

Qualifications

+ High School diploma or equivalent experience required.

**Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule:** The salary range for this role is $18.00/hour to $19.00/hour, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
