    About the role

     

    Trustmark is looking for an Executive Director, Business Delivery & Execution in our Voluntary Benefits Group.

     

    Responsible for overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives across our group insurance product, operations, and technology portfolio. Leads the delivery of the overall transformation and modernization of the group business including implementation of critical, digital first capabilities to drive friction free experiences across the customer journey and operational efficiency. Partners closely with IT and, as needed, system implementation partners to ensure priorities are set and managed, timely and on budget. Focus will also include implementation. Ensures successful delivery and execution of strategy for new and existing group products, including (but not limited to): Group Term Life and AD&D, Group Disability (STD and LTD), Absence Management, Group Dental, and Group Vision.

    Key Accountabilities:

    + Lead the execution of strategic initiatives for new and enhanced group products and capabilities.

    + Partner closely with business leaders, IT, and operations teams to translate market needs into executable strategies, solutions, and operational processes.

    + Act as business lead to facilitate the implementation of products, technologies and necessary capabilities while ensuring alignment with customer needs, compliance requirements, and business objectives.

    + Collaborate with third-party administrator (TPA) and internal operations to optimize delivery, administration, and support models (ASO and fully insured).

    + Collaborate with appropriate business areas to ensure development and implementation of new and enhanced processes and training collateral.

    + Partner with appropriate business partners and leaders to develop organizational change management needs. Ensure appropriate execution of OCM plans.

    + Assist in analyzing and understanding operational transactions to inform process improvements and enhance customer and internal experiences.

    + Support digital transformation initiatives that modernize all aspects of the customer(s) journey.

    + Serve as a bridge between market strategy and execution, ensuring stakeholder alignment across product, technology, and operations.

    + Monitor execution progress, identify risks, and escalate challenges to ensure timely resolution and delivery success.

    + Participate in broader strategic planning, budget planning/forecasting, and capacity planning as needed.

    + Keep abreast of the industry, emerging technologies, and service delivery trends, share perspective with Trustmark team members.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of experience in group insurance product operations and implementation (Group Life, AD&D, Disability, Absence Management, Dental, Vision).

    + Strong knowledge of group and voluntary insurance markets, including TPA and ASO administration.

    + Proven experience leading cross-functional delivery initiatives involving both IT and business stakeholders.

    + Excellent analytical skills to translate operational processes and transactions into customer-centric improvements.

    + Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

    + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities

    + Demonstrated knowledge of agile delivery models, system development lifecycles, business process reengineering, and project/program management.

    + Demonstrate strong business and technical acumen, and ability to communicate complex technical enhancements in easy-to-understand terminology.

    + Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail.

    + Demonstrates working knowledge with MS-Office suite of software applications and tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS-Project, MS-Outlook.

    Preferred:

    + 5+ years successful project management experience including agile, waterfall, and hybrid projects.

    + Background in digital transformation or modernization of product/operational capabilities strongly preferred.

    The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois):

    $133,593 - $199,476 per year

     

    The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus. We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive salary within the market.
