    The salary range for this position is at $59,000 - 78,000. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status.

     

    1. Job Summary:

     

    The Digital Experience Designer is responsible for designing and delivering creative assets and user-centered digital experiences that strengthen our brand across both physical and digital channels. This role sits at the intersection of marketing design and UI/UX design, balancing bold, campaign-driven visuals with intuitive, accessible digital interfaces. Partner with marketing, communications, and digital teams to produce high-quality creative assets, develop user-friendly web experiences, and ensure consistency of brand execution across all channels.

     

    2. Essential Functions:

    Marketing & Brand Design

    • Design impactful creative assets for print, digital advertising, social media, billboards, and other out-of-home marketing channels.

    • Translate brand guidelines into fresh, engaging creative concepts that connect with diverse audiences.

    • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to bring integrated campaigns to life.

    • Prepare press-ready print files and complete ad packages for external distribution.

    • Support storytelling through photography, illustration, and graphic design.

    UI/UX Design

    • Design and refine web pages, landing pages, and digital tools to optimize usability and accessibility.

    • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that align with brand standards and user needs.

    • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate and effective implementation of designs.

    • Conduct usability testing and apply feedback to improve overall digital experience.

    • Contribute to digital design systems, ensuring consistency across platforms.

    • Creative Direction & Collaboration

    • Contribute to cross-functional creative brainstorming and campaign ideation.

    • Provide input on design best practices, accessibility, and emerging trends.

    • Collaborate with writers, developers, marketers, and external partners to deliver high-quality digital products and campaigns.

    • Maintain strong knowledge of evolving design and digital experience trends to continuously improve creative output.

    Execution

    • Balance multiple projects with varying timelines and deliverables, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

    • Manage file organization, version control, and asset delivery to internal and external stakeholders.

    • Apply problem-solving and critical thinking skills to translate abstract concepts into tangible design solutions.

    • Ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards across all deliverables.

    3. Relationships:

     

    This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Digital Marketing & Platforms who reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Marketing and works closely with the Marketing, Communications, and Digital Product teams. The incumbent collaborates with developers, content creators, and external vendors to ensure successful execution of campaigns and digital initiatives.

     

    4. Qualifications:

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Communications, or related field; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

    • Five (5) years of experience in graphic design and UI/UX design (agency or in-house).

    • Strong portfolio showcasing both marketing/brand design and UI/UX work.

    • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch.

    • Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and basic HTML/CSS principles.

    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and quality.

    Preferred

    • Experience with motion graphics, animation, or video editing.

    • Knowledge of SEO best practices for design.

    • Familiarity with CMS platforms (Drupal) and marketing automation tools.

    • Experience designing for nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.

    • Bi/multilingual

    5. Work Conditions:

    • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

    • Ability to travel to various locations for meetings and training.
