JOB SUMMARY
Marriott Global Technology is seeking a **Senior Manager, Information Security Content & Training** , to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of workforce-facing security training and awareness initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring that required compliance training, role-based learning for privileged and technical associates, and enterprise-wide awareness campaigns are delivered on time, with quality, and in alignment with Marriott’s culture. The Senior Manager will bring structure, creativity, and rigor to how associates learn, engage, and adopt secure practices—directly reducing risk related to the human element of information security.
Required:
7+ years of progressive information technology and information security experience in areas such as Project Management, Governance Risk and Compliance or Cyber Operations
4+ years’ experience building and rolling out engaging training or awareness programs in technology or information security — ideally for a large, global company
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience and certifications
Preferred:
Graduate degree (MBA, Information Security) or related field
Working knowledge of security standards, certifications, and compliance requirements
Strong curiosity and commitment to staying current on emerging security threats and best practices
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and levels of the organization
Proven ability to manage time effectively, stay organized, and deliver results on multiple projects simultaneously
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Required Security Training
Oversee the design, refresh, and delivery of Marriott’s required security compliance trainings, ensuring they are accurate, engaging, and completed on schedule.
Facilitate timelines and logistics across Global Technology and HR partners to support 100% completion of mandatory trainings, meeting audit and regulatory requirements.
Deliver and continuously improve processes for targeted notifications, escalations and leadership reporting to track progress and address overdue training.
Role-Based Training
Lead development and implementation of role-specific training for associates in privileged, technical, and high-risk roles.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define learning objectives, validate technical accuracy, and deliver content that equips associates with the knowledge to reduce risk in their day-to-day work.
Partner with HR and Learning & Development to ensure seamless delivery through the LMS and alignment with broader enterprise training strategies.
Monitor and analyze training metrics and feedback, making adjustments to ensure training is effective, relevant, and practical.
Associate-Facing Campaigns
Drive large-scale awareness campaigns such as Global Phishing Campaigns and Cybersecurity Awareness Month—ensuring activities are organized, engaging, and culturally aligned with Marriott’s voice.
Develop creative content and interactive experiences (simulations, games, quizzes, recognition challenges) that increase associate participation and sustain long-term behavioral change.
Lead logistics, communications, and execution with vendors, internal stakeholders, and solution providers to deliver high-quality, memorable workforce experiences.
Program Measurement and Reporting
Design, implement, and maintain structured measurement frameworks (KPIs, KRIs) to evaluate completion, effectiveness, and engagement across training and campaigns.
Generate accurate and timely compliance reports for leadership and audit requirements.
Translate metrics into actionable improvements to continuously strengthen program effectiveness.
Leadership and Collaboration
Create a high-performance team environment that balances attention to detail with creativity and innovation.
Translate program goals into clear expectations, timelines, and deliverables for team members.
Model accountability and organization by setting strong project management practices and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
Provide coaching and development opportunities to build skills in content design, communications, and security awareness.
Foster collaboration across internal stakeholders while keeping the team aligned on priorities and focused on measurable results.
Celebrate successes, track progress visibly, and ensure continuous improvement in both individual performance and overall program impact.
