    Job Summary:

    HCA Florida Northside Hospital is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our cardiovascular team.

     

    + Surgery, inpatient and outpatient setting to include: operating room, CVICU pre and postoperative care, and outpatient clinic.

    + Monday – Friday schedule plus night and weekends with call

    + First assist required for all cardiac and thoracic procedures with EVH proficiency

    + 1:3 weekend call rotation with call pay

    + Independence to cover inpatient consults, CVICU, set-down, and clinic daily.

    + ACLS, BLS, and DEA required.

    + FL state license

    + PA or NP with first assist

    + Independent patient management based on physical exam, lab results, and diagnostic testing, to diagnose and treat according to evidence-based medical practice.

    + Conducts and participates in multidisciplinary rounds.

    + Procedures to include: chest tube placement, central line placement, arterial line placement
