    Summary:

    + Advanced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants who assist physicians in the care of patients in critical and specialty areas.

    + These extenders have professional education in their area of specialty, meeting all legal requirements.

    + Physician Extenders provide direction and supervision in delegation of duties consistent with patient needs.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Required certification or licensure includes Physician Assistant, ARNP, or APRN and ACLS, BLS and/or PALS.

    + Preferred education includes Acute Care Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) program.

    + Preferred experience includes 3 years acute care in Cardiac, Pulmonary, ED, or Critical Care.

    Education:

    + Required - Technical - Physician Assistant; Or - Masters - Nursing

    Status:** **Full Time, Exempt: Yes

     

    Shift Hours:** **Days, 32 hours per week or 64 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

     

    Weekend Work:** **None
