    Medical Assistant Supervisor – Remote Refill Processing (Family Medicine)

    Lead and Support a High-Performing Remote Team at Dartmouth Health

    Dartmouth Health is seeking an experienced and proactive Medical Assistant Supervisor to lead our remote Family Medicine Refill Processing Team. This team plays a vital role in supporting patient care by managing prescription refill requests across multiple Family Medicine practices, following well-established clinical protocols.

     

    This is a working supervisor position, with approximately 50% of your time spent performing refillprocessing tasks alongside your team, and the remaining 50% dedicated to supervisory responsibilities. You’ll balance hands-on work with leadership, ensuring the team operates efficiently and maintains high standards of quality and productivity.

    *Current certification with the AAMA or Registration with the AMT is required.

    Responsibilities

    * Process prescription refill requests per established protocols, documenting accurately in the EHR.

    * Serve as a clinical and procedural resource for the team, supporting consistency and adherence to workflows.

    * Monitor daily operations, manage workload distribution, and assist with prioritization as needed.

    * Track productivity and quality metrics to ensure timely, accurate work and high-quality patient support.

    * Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.

    * Lead team meetings, support ongoing training, and foster a collaborative and positive remote work culture.

    * Collaborate with providers, clinic leadership, and other departments to address workflow issues or escalations.

    * Assist with hiring, onboarding, and continued development of team members.

    Qualifications

    * Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program with 3 years of clinical experience required.

    * Experience coordinating activities for a group preferred.

    * Ability to effectively delegate and hold staff accountable for responsibilities.

    * Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.

    * Ability to relate sensitively to people, maintain confidentiality, multi-task, and work well under pressure.

     

    Required Licensure/Certifications

     

    - Current BLS certification required.

     

    - Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – National Healthcareers Association plus DOL Registered Apprenticeships Certificate of Completion.

    * Pay Range:$24.58/Hr. - $38.10/Hr.
