Position Overview:

We are looking for reliable Non-Instructional Substitutes to support various functions within our school. This role includes responsibility for food service, student monitoring, and clerical support, and summer maintenance help.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Service:

+ Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with health and safety standards.

+ Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.

+ Ensure that food is presented appealingly and served at the appropriate temperature.

+ Comply with dietary restrictions and food safety regulations.

Student Monitoring:

+ Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other non-classroom activities to ensure safety and proper behavior.

+ Promote a positive and respectful environment among students.

+ Address and manage minor conflicts or issues as they arise.

+ Assist with student arrival and dismissal procedures.

Clerical Support:

+ Provide administrative assistance, including filing, data entry, and organizing materials.

+ Support teachers and staff with clerical tasks as needed.

+ Help maintain accurate records and reports.

Maintenance Responsibilities:

+ Assist with basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and organizing classrooms, hallways, and common areas.

+ Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the appropriate staff.

+ Help ensure that facilities are safe and well-maintained for students and staff.

+ Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for school events as needed.

Working Conditions:

+ Hours may vary based on school needs and availability.

+ Must be able to stand for extended periods and engage actively with students.

Job Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.

+ Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.

+ Previous experience in food service, child supervision, office administration, or maintenance is a plus.
