    Amalgamated Bank seeks a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst. This primarily supports the development of bank-wide budget, forecast and long-range strategic plan. The analyst will assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting, financial report construction and maintenance, segment business reviews, and external investor materials. Partner with the Head of FP&A and the Manager of FP&A to report and inform senior management on strategic business decisions through business and profitability analytics and metrics to support bank-wide strategic decision making and to drive improved financial results. They will also support a variety of high-level financial projects, creating financial models & identifying/analyzing system improvements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare complex financial analyses, reports and models for management to support Amalgamated Bank’s initiatives

    + Utilize multiple data sources to create, manage and automate financial reports and other key metric reporting

    + Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the firm and at the department level

    + Support developing and/or enhancing business line and product profitability reporting

    + Assisting in preparation of materials for public earnings reporting, Amalgamated Bank’s Board of Directors, prospective investors, and other external parties

    + Perform ad hoc requests (analysis and reporting) for functional leaders and senior management

    + Perform other duties as directed

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred

    + Strong quantitative skills and analytical rigor

    + High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis

    + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Axiom and/or other financial reporting platforms

    + Proficient with MS suite PowerPoint, Excel, Word and prior experience with financial management/budgeting applications

    + Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure

    + Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

     

    Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $168,000.00 – $250,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

    Hybrid Work Model

    Effective February 18, 2025, employees in office-based positions will be working a Hybrid work schedule consisting of three days or more, on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, the contact center, branch service roles, and general services where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Please note, this Hybrid work model guidance does not apply to roles that have been designated as “remote”.
