    Work You'll Do

    Senior Consultants in performance & cost improvement serve as trusted advisors to corporate and private equity clients. They synthesize overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs. Senior Consultants also:

     

    + Function as integrators between business needs and technology solutions

    + Plan and support transformational engagements across industries / sectors

    + Work with senior executives to develop, define and execute cost/growth reduction strategies with Fortune 500 companies

    + Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope

    + Develop work plans for components of engagements, as well as coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope

    + Gain exposure to multiple industries while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by Deloitte

    + Perform accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of client issues and manage day-to-day client relationships at peer client levels

    + Design, produce and present deliverables that articulate strategic recommendations and/or other relevant findings that precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs

    + Strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results

    + Assist in proposal development, as requested

     

    The TeamOur Performance Improvement & Restructuring (PI&R) practice develops and leads enterprise-level Board and C-suite agendas for clients across the performance spectrum-healthy, underperforming, and distressed-to enhance margins, address financial challenges, and optimize cash flow in support of critical transformation initiatives.

     

    Deloitte's leaders in P&CI see reducing costs as the key to margin improvement today. Our leaders are doing this by accelerating technology investment and targeting cost-reduction efforts. As part of the PI&R offering, P&CI focuses on rapidly addressing financial pressures and stabilizing our client's business performance. Our tailored interventions help deliver measurable results quickly. These services include business simplification, dramatically reducing dealer-to-delivery friction, legal entity rationalization, working capital and liquidity, post-M&A transformation (synergy planning and capture), margin improvement and cost reduction, operation model transformation, business model transformation, artificial intelligence and analytics, and global tax restructuring.

    QualificationsRequired:

    + 4+ years of experience in management consulting in operations improvement, transformation, M&A integration, or business process reengineering around global cost reduction or development of global growth strategies.

    + 4+ years of experience in financial analysis and working with data inputs from multiple sources, to understand value creation opportunities.

    + 2+ years of experience conducting operating model fine-tuning and organizational design

    + 2+ years of experience developing models using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visual Basic, or other tools (Tableau).

    + Bachelor's degree and 4+ years consulting and/or industry experience.

    + Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

    + Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

    Preferred:

    + Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)

    + Strong analysis skills (Excel required with other analytics capabilities preferred)

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments in a collaborative environment

    + Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

    + Eagerness to mentor junior staff

    + An advanced degree

    For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York state, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York state and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $131,200 to $218,600.

     

    You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
