    In NIKE’s dynamic and fast-paced retail ecosystem, the Territory Operations Support role serves as a key business partner to retail stores, responsible for driving operational excellence and retail performance across the territory. This role supports store leaders and teams by ensuring they have the right tools, resources, and processes to deliver consistent execution, improve efficiency and create exceptional consumer experiences. Reporting to the Territory Operations Director for NA Stores, this position collaborates closely with Store Managers, Retail District Directors, Sr Director of Stores, and cross-functional partners. It also serves as a key resource for supporting stores in training, solving challenges under pressure, and fostering continuous learning to make every store—and every athlete—better.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    ]The Territory Operations Support role is a cornerstone of NIKE’s field operational excellence, with a sharpened focus on in-store training and the consistent execution of Nike’s retail operations standards, policies and practices. Aiming at Retail Performance Excellence, this role leads the rollout and adoption of Global Store programs and tools enabling strategies that elevate store performance, athlete productivity and leadership capability. They partner with store leaders to strengthen operational processes, systems and performance standards across the territory to drive revenue and profitability. By championing business priorities such as labor management and operational excellence, the Territory Operations Support role enables a premium and seamless consumer experience coaching store leaders through assessing their labor efficiency, optimizing staffing levels, product flow operations and prioritizing training to elevate athlete performance.

     

    In-store visits allow the Territory Operations Support to lead communication, deliver hands-on training and adoption of new programs, tools and process. They analyze store performance trends and provide insights to identify opportunities for improvement in selling, service and operational metrics delivering on Nike’s position to be a best-in-class retailer.

     

    As a key partner to Store Managers, Retail District Directors, Sr. Director of Stores, and cross-functional teams, they ensure alignment, champion change management, and support the execution of Nike’s priorities across every store model.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

    • 3+ years of experience in retail operations, store leadership, or field support roles

    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 35 weeks per year across multiple store locations, including field visits, market travel, and territory meetings

    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed

     

    WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

     

    As Principal of Territory Operations, you will play a pivotal role in empowering Nike’s Store Leaders and supporting field leadership by sharing best practices, delivering impactful training, providing solution-oriented support, and offering feedback aligned with Nike’s strategic priorities. As a subject matter expert, you will be deeply focused on Retail Performance Excellence, with an emphasis on Service, Training, and Labor Management. You’ll obsess over the athlete* journey, ensuring consistent and efficient retail operations through the execution of Nike’s processes and policies—while remaining agile in response to the evolving needs of the business.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include:

    • Leading training and adoption of new tools, programs, and processes

    • Supporting store leaders through training, coaching, and operational guidance

    • Informing RDDs & Sr. Director of Store leaders of wins and opportunities identified through supported visits.

    • Driving execution of Nike Swoosh Standards across the territory

    • Resolving territory-level operational challenges with agility and insight

    • Acting as a conduit between Global, Geo and Field teams for program implementation

    • Supporting Retail Operations Captains First-line Program strategy and delivery

    • Influencing operational clarity and consistency across all store models
