We’re partnering with a **global aerospace and defense manufacturer** to hire a **Senior Electrical Engineer** to lead capital projects and drive electrical system reliability at their **flagship 1M+ sq ft plant** in Lafayette, IN. You’ll work directly with **union trades, engineering leadership, and plant ops** to make things happen—from system upgrades and I/O checkouts to power distribution and legacy system troubleshooting.
What You’ll Own (not all required experience)
+ **Own capital projects** end-to-end—from scope development through install and startup
+ Design and optimize **power systems** , control wiring, and electrical infrastructure
+ Lead **FAT/SAT** , **I/O checkouts** , and commissioning activities
+ Troubleshoot **motors, drives, PLCs, and aging systems** to improve uptime
+ Develop and maintain technical documentation, drawings (AutoCAD), and specs
+ Partner with **union electricians, techs, and engineers** to keep production moving
+ Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians on best practices
What You Bring (flexible)
+ **BSEE or EET** (or equivalent experience in electrical systems)
+ **3–5+ years** working in **heavy industrial, manufacturing, or equipment-intensive environments**
+ Comfort working with **union teams** in a production-driven setting
+ Familiarity with **electrical troubleshooting** , legacy systems, and system upgrades
+ U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (required for ITAR compliance)
