**Position Title:** Material Handler
**Shift:** 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday)
**Pay Rate:** $16/hour
**Location:** North Houston – Willowbrook Area
Essential Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
+ Load and unload trucks to ensure timely movement of goods.
+ Operate pumps to off-load tankers safely and efficiently.
+ Follow pick lists and Bills of Lading (BOLs) to ensure accurate shipments.
+ Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition.
+ Follow shipping regulatory requirements (DOT, DHS, TSCA, CT-PAT) to maintain compliance.
Material Handling & Inventory
+ Pull finished goods from storage to prepare for shipment or use.
+ Put away raw materials in designated storage areas to maintain inventory organization.
+ Maintain storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods to support production needs.
+ Consolidate and organize warehouse and outside storage areas for operational efficiency.
+ Follow operating procedures for inventory handling and staging to ensure material integrity.
Forklift Operation
+ Safely drive and operate a forklift to move materials as needed.
+ Perform daily equipment checklists to ensure safe operation.
Production Support
+ Obtain materials for batch makers, adjusters, tinters, and fill-off teams to support production flow.
+ Perform set-up and clean-up tasks to maintain readiness and cleanliness.
Safety & Compliance
+ Actively participate in safety programs, 5S, and housekeeping to promote a safe work environment.
+ Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean work area to prevent accidents.
+ Contribute to Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental activities (SAFE meetings, BBS observations, HS&E training).
Level of Autonomy
+ Follow written procedures and complete tasks authorized by training.
+ Halt work independently if a safety or quality concern is identified, initiating corrective action.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum age: 18 years.
+ Forklift certification required.
+ Prior warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Strong reading comprehension and math skills.
+ Effective communication and ability to follow directions.
+ Safety-conscious mindset and good judgment.
+ Self-motivated with high performance standards.
+ Adaptable and positive attitude.
+ Ability to work with diverse personalities.
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to lift 50–70 lbs.
+ Stand for 8–10 hours daily.
+ Comfortable working from elevated platforms and stairways.
+ Arm-hand steadiness and near vision for detailed tasks.
