Our client, the energy transmission industry, is seeking an Engineer Assoc to join their team. As an Engineer Assoc, you will be part of the Transmission Systems Support Department supporting Engineering and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Pay Range:** $27.75
What's the Job?
+ Accurately model transmission system topology including impedance and facility ratings for lines, generators, and transformers for Medium, High, and Extra High Voltages using AEP-internal modeling database, PSS/E, and/or ASPEN One Liner.
+ Fulfill various system modeling requests from Engineering and Operations personnel submitted via ServiceNow ticketing system.
+ Collaborate with internal and external teams to model planned projects, build power flow, and short circuit model cases representing the future transmission system.
+ Participate in the planning and organization of project work activities to ensure timely and accurate completion.
+ Perform electrical transmission system analysis and protection system studies as requested, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
What's Needed?
+ Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent qualification.
+ Experience modeling transmission and generation system topology using ASPEN One Liner and/or Siemens PSSE for Medium, High, and Extra High Voltages.
+ Knowledge of modeling inverter-based generation for wind and solar applications, as well as synchronous-based generation.
+ Experience with transmission system fault studies, including circuit breaker duty analysis.
+ Familiarity with NERC Compliance Standards and process improvement activities related to engineering workflows.
