Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data infrastructure sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the Technical IT department supporting critical data center operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

6-18 Month Contract

Day & Night shifts - 12 hour shifts

What's the Job?

+ Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment, following specific instructions and safety protocols.

+ Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.

+ Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, quickly identifying causes and performing break-fix repairs on faulty components.

+ Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds.

+ Monitor systems for equipment failures or errors and respond to program error messages effectively.

What's Needed?

+ Computer Science majors OR CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications.

+ Experience working in a Critical/Data Center Environment as a Data Center Technician, with hardware break-fix responsibilities.

+ Previous experience with Geek Squad computer repair or similar computer repair technician roles.

+ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

+ Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
