    Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including power generation and conversion systems, magnetics, and sensors for extreme environments. Located in Milwaukie, OR (in the Greater Portland Area), this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select aircraft and ground vehicle markets, spanning business jet, narrow body, wide body, and fighter jet platforms as well as military ground vehicles. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon, among others.

     

    Production Machine Operator I

    Position Summary:

    The Production Machine Operator, under moderate guidance, sets up and operates a range of automatic or semiautomatic machines. Reports malfunctions in equipment and makes adjustments and repairs.

    Responsibilities:

    + Ability to safely perform all operations, procedures, and requirements of the position.

    + Sets up and operates a range of automatic and/or semiautomatic machines

    + Performs maintenance of production machinery and test equipment, uses a range of documents to perform work, such as blueprints, schematics, models or specifications

    + Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures

    + Troubleshoots machines that are not at peak performance and finds solutions to problems; seeks to increase efficiency and output

    + Receives parts from assembly line and/or stock room for in-process and/or final tests

    + Performs documentation and reporting of final test results

    + Evaluates and verifies that production items are within tolerances and meet specifications as outlined in work instructions and documentation

    + Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts

    + Must have good eye/hand coordination

    + Capable of recognizing and solving typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established options

    + Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills

    + Ability to clearly communicate with all internal and external customers

    + May perform other duties as assigned.

    + Other responsibilities as assigned

    Education & Experience:

    + A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent certificate (GED) is required.

    + 2-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

    + Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. Variable schedule(s) and additional hours may be required as necessary.
